Shadow Panther's
Halo 2 Weapon Statistics

In the fast-paced action of Halo 2 multiplayer, combatants race around the maps,
guns blazing as they rip apart the opposition. Life and death can be decided in an instant.
To gain an edge over your opponents, you need to have an intimate knowledge of the weapons
available to you. Each weapon has its own unique capabilities, some better than others.
And with the addition of dual-wielding, the choices have become substantially increased.
Some weapons are better suited for individual use while certain weapons shine when
dual-wielded in combination with others. With so many potential weapon combinations,
it can be a daunting task to figure out which is best. Until now.

I have painstakingly tested each and every weapon and all 21 dual weapon combinations
to determine just how quickly they can kill, down to the tenth of a second!

All of this information can be found in these two spreadsheets:

Halo 2 Weapon Statistics

Halo 2 Weapon Rankings

The Rankings chart is a copy of the Statistics chart, with each section
re-sorted from fastest to slowest in terms of killing speed.
Armed with this information, your opponents should fall before you.

Update 11/24/04

I've made some updates to my Halo 2 Weapons Statistics. The updates include:

-Corrected stats for the Battle Rifle
-Corrected Melee attack speeds for the Needler
-Added "Melee Hits" to show how many melee attacks are required with each
weapon to take out (S)hields and to destroy (A)rmor (ie. kill the player.)
-Added a FAQ section to address some common questions

Thanks to "D" for telling me how to fire single bullets with the Battle Rifle (interrupt with
a melee attack.)
Thanks to Jason Zimmermann for helping me correct the melee attack speed for the Needler.
Thanks to eiii for pointing out that each weapon deals different melee damage.
Thanks to SinisterSamurai for explaining that Elites have different melee
attack speeds than the Master Chief (addressed in my FAQ)
